
Michelle
Rappaport, M.A., LPC, NCC, CSAT-S
Michelle has over 20 years experience in the
addiction/mental health field. She holds a Masters Degree in
Substance Abuse Counseling from University of Louisiana at
Monroe. She has areas of specialty in trauma, addiction,
eating disorders, human sexuality, inner personal
neurobiology, women's issues, and related disorders.
Michelle has trained with top educators in the field,
including Dan Seigal, Patrick Carnes, Claudia Black, and Tian
Dayton. She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, a trained
Experiential Therapist, and certified in EMDR. She completed
a 2 year fellowship with Sharon Stanley in Somatic
Transformation. This is a cutting edge treatment that
addresses the interpersonal neurobiology behind attachment
trauma.
She has been an educator and professor, as well as worked with
First Responders in traumatic incidents. Some of Michelle's
professional organizations include the Society for the
Advancement of Sexual Health, The Society for the Scientific
Study of Sexuality, The American Counseling Association,
International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies, and The
Tennessee Counseling Association.
